How did you choose the name of your business?

Our shop is the name sake or my great grandfather and grandfather, saddle makers G.H. Vaught & Son (George Hatton Vaught and George Henry Vaught).  Throughout most of the 20th century, they built a flourishing business, making saddles, men's belts, bridals, cotton picker pads, etc., working out of two workshops in Rockwall, Texas.  

After many, many decades of running the saddle shop in town, my aging grandfather shut down the workshops, and moved enough equipment to his garage to continue to make saddles for special clients.  These clients would wait sometimes a year or more for a saddle made by him.  Naturally, the rich smell of leather permeated their house, and I grew to love it very much and still associate it with childhood.

 

How do I care for my leather bag?

Our best recommendation for cleaning your Hatton Henry leather bag is to take it to a trusted shoemaker or cleaner specializing in leather. Try to avoid exposing your bag to water and moisture. The natural beauty of our leather is enhanced over time as the bags are exposed to natural light and handling. Any marks you may see at first will fade over time as the leather darkens and ages.

When will I receive my order?

Our bags are made to order, and take approx 10-14 days to process. You will receive tracking info via email when your order ships.

Do you ship Internationally?

Yes! International orders ship via First Class Mail and can take up to 3 weeks to deliver. Hatton Henry Bag Co. is not responsible for lost or damaged items in transit. Buyer is responsible for all customs/import charges.

 

How do I return an item?

We accept returns/exchanges within 7 business days from delivery for online purchases. All returned merchandise must be unworn, unused and in original condition for a refund. Excluding Sale items. Allow 7-10 days for processing.
